Henry Cavill displayed his destructive strength as the new Superman in this official photo for the film "Man of Steel"! [Full Image Below]

Joining Zack Snyder's reboot  are Amy Adams as Daily Planet journalist Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as editor-in-chief Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent and Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent.

Superman will be facing General Zod played by Michael Shannon and Faora, Zod’s evil partner, played by Antje Traue. Superman’s Kryptonian parents are Julia Ormond as Lara Lor-Van and Russell Crowe as Jor-El.

Many are surely hoping that it will better than Brandon Routh’s “Superman Returns” (2006).
