The divorce petition was filed in Santa Monica, California Superior Court citing the popular reason "irreconcilable differences". (July 30)

"Heidi has amended her petition for separation and today has filed a petition for dissolution of marriage from Spencer Pratt," Montag's lawyer Jodeane Farrell tells PEOPLE. "The couple has agreed they would like their divorce to be finalized in a timely manner in an out of court settlement. Both parties are amicable with each other and over the possibility of finalizing their divorce."

Spencer Pratt gave his response with the divorce filing, "Well, some say if you can't handle the heat get out of the kitchen. Heidi couldn't handle King Spencer's fame so she got out of the marriage."

A desperate attempt for publicity as Spencer Pratt is taking advantage with this situation.

The soon-to-be-ex couple married last April 2009 in Pasadena, California.

Heidi Montag has filed for separation from husband Spencer Pratt, citing "irreconcilable differences" in a court document submitted at the Santa Monica courthouse in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 24 year-old reality actress did not file for divorce! The legal separation means that Heidi's earnings will become hers alone from the date of separation.

It was reported that their break up is fake! A desperate attempt for publicity and to stay in the headlines when “The Hills” comes to an end. A source said, this is a "part of Spencer's master plan."

Many doubted the break-up of the annoying couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt and it seems the sham speculations are true!

The fame-hungry couple reportedly faked their break up in a desperate attempt for publicity and to stay in the headlines when “The Hills” comes to an end.

According USWeekly, an insider says, “Heidi and Spencer are laughing over it and having a blast." and added, "This breakup is the latest part of Spencer’s master plan.”

Heidi and Spencer are just doing their dirty publicity stunt to promote their upcoming reality show which was reveal by Heidi's friend Jennifer Bunney who is also in the show.

"Of course Spencer will be in the show," Bunney says. "He is her husband and even though they are separating, he is a part of her life and she's a part of his. He'll be an aspect of the show ... if he wasn't, it wouldn't be realistic."

No divorce papers have been filed by the annoying couple.

Heidi's rep tells TMZ, "Heidi is looking to move out due to all the fake bad press that Spencer controls. She's tired of it and is looking for a place and wants to focus on her acting career."

It was also reported that Spencer is the reason why Heidi undergo 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day.

The funny thing is, many are doubting if the separation is in fact true because the couple are known for their crazy publicity stunt.

If the separation is indeed true, Heidi can now take advantage to straighten her life and career.

Heidi Montag debut her new body at Pure; second Playboy shoot and will go under the knife again

Heidi Montag paraded at the red carpet her new surgery enhanced look at Pure Nightclub in Las Vegas on Saturday night (February 13). She and husband Spencer Pratt hosted the event.

Heidi is also happy announce that she ready to do another Playboy cover shoot and now she will bare all.

The plastic surgery-obsessed "Hills" star told RadarOnline, "I am doing Playboy again... soon, very soon. I cannot wait to show off my new assets, I am very excited."

After doing the insanely 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day, she revealed that she will go under the knife to have larger breasts after her second Playboy shoot.

Heidi said, "I do want more. I would like to get my breasts re-done because I couldn't get them the size I wanted because they couldn't fit."

Another insane decision!!! It seems her insecurities are too much to handle.

Spencer Pratt on Heidi's makeover: "I'm not in charge of her body"

Heidi Montag is in the hot seat over her insane 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day and now her husband Spencer Pratt is voicing out his opinions on his wife's makeover.

"Anytime I hinted that it might be a little much or if I just asked if she was sure, I even felt like I was crossing lines," he told PEOPLE. "I'm not in charge of what she does with any part of her body. I'm her husband – not her owner."

Spencer also thought that Heidi is perfect from the star, "But everyone sees themselves differently when they look in the mirror," he says. "Nobody truly understands how she feels except her. I may not be okay with things, but it's not my call."

Still in deep need of publicity as Spencer Pratt making a big deal on Ryan Seacrest's answer on a funny topic aired in KIIS0-FM radio show which Ryan choose Heidi Montag if he could tase a reality star.

According to Us, an angry Spencer Pratt said, "I'm disgusted and horrified that Ryan Seacrest would find it amusing and entertaining to have his listeners call in about tasing anyone. What's next, Ryan -- guns and knives? Waterboarding? It is irresponsible and offensive for someone with your platform to promote violence on this level. For someone who produces reality content, I'm shocked that you'd encourage people to tase reality stars. Would it be funny to you if one of your Kardashians got tased? Is that how you treat your talent, Ryan?"

"Finding humor in violence is disgusting," Spencer continued. "For someone who pretends to be mister clean-cut America, you really should be ashamed. Any reasonable person knows that a taser isn't a Super Soaker and can cause immediate death."

"I expect an apology not to just us, but to people everywhere for using your public voice to spread violence," he concluded.

Maybe he is correct on the bad effect of "Finding humor in violence" but behind it, Spencer is just thirsty for more publicity as he use this issue.

Heidi Montag-Pratt promotes her Playboy cover

Taking advantage on every situation for publicity, Heidi Montag-Pratt with husband Spencer Pratt brought the September 2009 issue of Playboy at “G.I.JOE:The Rise of Cobra” L.A. screening in which Heidi is the cover girl, August 6.

On the Playboy cover, Heidi wears a skimpy white bikini with a Playboy bunny logo carved out on her torso.

As expected and previously announced by Heidi that she is not nude in this issue, so a total disappointment and it offers nothing new. Many have seen Heidi in a bikini many times.

No torture, says Heidi and Spencer rep.

After the wild publicity of "Torture" claimed in which Stephanie Pratt also tweeted, Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt issued a statement via their rep. that they are no torture incident on the set of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!.

Pratt's rep. said via UsMag, "There have been many reports that surfaced over the weekend regarding Spencer and Heidi Pratt. Many of these reports are false and inaccurate, including any reports of 'torture' on the show."

On the reports that Spencer fired his legal counsel.

"The couple remains in Costa Rica. In addition, it was reported the Pratts have fired their legal counsel. This is inaccurate."

Heidi Montag Torture accusations is "Untrue", says producers

With "torture" issue is now swirling around the net. ITV Studios, who produces the series "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" said that Heidi and Spencer Pratt's accusations is "untrue".

In a statement, ITV Studios said, "Medic and doctor are there all the time. ITV has been producing this format around the world for many years and the health of the celebrity participants are of the utmost importance."

Stephanie Pratt says: NBC tortured Heidi and Spencer

Aside from Stephanie Pratt who tweeted that "NBC harshly and torture [Heidi-Spencer] them as if they were criminals" which resulted in rushing Heidi Montag-Pratt to a hospital in Costa Rica. TMZ reported that people on the set of "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here!" also felt the same feeling into the incident.

TMZ: We've learned Heidi was rushed to the hospital and diagnosed with a gastric ulcer, after being held with hubby Spencer Pratt in a dark room for a day and a night with only water, rice and beans. It was designed as punishment because they left the show. One cast member described their treatment this way -- "It's the same as Guantanamo Bay."

And get this ... a cast member tells us NBC execs tried to convince Heidi to stay on the set rather than take an ambulance to a hospital for treatment. She has now left the hospital and is on meds.

We're told some of the cast members want to quit, but their passports have been taken away and they are under guard.

I smell lawsuit in the future.... Or simply they just want to be out.

Heidi Montag: happy to "Get Out of Pig Flu Country!" and "praying for health!"

Publicity hungry newlyweds Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt shows that their wearing face masks to protect themselves from swine flu while on their honeymoon and finishing Montag's music video, "Sex Ed."

Heidi wrote on her twitter page that she's happy to "get out of the pig flue country".

On the first place, their both fools. They know that theirs a swine flu alert but still they decided to go to Mexico. The only good thing is Heidi has a nice body.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt - Married Again!

The controversial and sometimes annoying couple of The Hills series Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt tied the knot again.

After eloping in Mexico, now the young couple got hitched at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Pasadena, Calif., on Saturday, April 25 and they announced the vows of love in front of more than 200 guests.

According USmag, all members of family are present and other attendees are Lauren Conrad, who initially said she would not attend, had a change of heart and showed up, along with Brody Jenner and girlfriend Jayde Nicole, Audrina Patridge, Frankie Delgado, Kristin Cavallari and Lauren "Lo" Bosworth. The ceremony was filmed for their MTV show.

Reportedly, other guests also includes Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Perez Hilton, Khloe Kardashian, music producer David Foster and Michael Bublé.

Heidi wore Neil Lane jewels worth almost $1.2 million and Monique Lhuillier strapless gown which she describe on her twitter page as "amazing – like a swan princess."

Meanwhile on June 1, it will premiere another reality show "I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me out of Here!" which their are also included.
