The court sentenced former So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Alex Da Silva 10 years in prison for raping a 22-year-old dance student and assaulting another (January 27).
Alex Da Silva was arrested for multiple sexual assaults that happened between May 2003 and March 28, 2009. The victims were aspiring dancers between the ages of 20 and 26.
The jury found him guilty on one count of rape and one count of assault with intent to commit rape. The other charges were dismissed.
Da Silva will be required to register as a sex offender.
