The 'Star Trek' sequel is set for 2013 and they will shot in 3D.

Paramount is targeting May 17, 2013 as the release date for JJ Abrams' sequel and returning to the sci-fi adventure are Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto and Chris Pine.

The 2009 "Star Trek" movie grossed $257.7 million domestically while international sales raked in at $127.9 million.
