Christina Aguilera as coach/judge on NBC’s "The Voice"

Christina Aguilera has secured a new gig in Mark Burnett-NBC's upcoming musical competition, "The Voice". The 30 year-old singer/actress will handle the coaching and judging duties for the show.

In a statement, Aguilera said (via EW):“I am so excited to be part of such a wonderful project that celebrates music and the talent behind it. To be given the opportunity to help shape new artists’ careers and mentor them to see their dreams come to fruition is a task I welcome with open arms.mI am so happy to be working with fellow Grammy Award winners Adam and Cee Lo as I feel there is so much we can all bring to The Voice.”

Joining her in the judging panel are Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine of Maroon 5.

Meanwhile, Aguilera recently made headlines after she was arrested for public intoxication with her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler.
