Paris Hilton avoided jail time; Agrees to Plea Deal in cocaine arrest

Paris Hilton avoided jail time after the plea deal she made with prosecutors, accepting two misdemeanors charges of drug possession and obstructing an officer in connection with her Aug. 27 cocaine arrest in Las Vegas. She will be sentenced to a year of probation.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, If Hilton is arrested during her probation, she will have to serve a full year in jail, according to the plea deal.

"Defendant shall stay out of trouble. Defendant agrees that an arrest for any charge, excluding minor traffic violations for which a citation is issued, shall result in the immediate termination of her probation and the execution of the suspended sentences."
Paris must also complete a substance abuse program, pay a $2,000 fine and perform 200 hours of community service.

Police found in her purse during the arrest are .8 grams of cocaine, rolling papers commonly used for marijuana and a broken tablet of Albuterol.
