World's No. 1 golfer Tiger Woods was injured in a single car crash near his home in Isleworth, Florida, Friday (November 27) hitting a fire hydrant and a tree in his neighbor's yard. He was rushed to the hospital and was treated for facial lacerations.
AP reports that local police chief said his wife Elin Woods used a golf club to smash out the back window and help get Tiger out of the car.
Tiger is alone driving his 2009 Cadillac SUV and the air bags did not deploy when the incident happened. Authorities said alcohol was not involved and is still under investigation.
According to Tiger's rep, he was in a "minor" accident, "admitted, treated and released today in good condition."
