John Hughes who helm the 80's American teen films The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles, died from a heart attack on Thursday August 6. He is 59 year-old.
According to his spokesman, he suffered a heart attack during a morning walk while in New York City.
As a writer, Hughes wrote the screenplay for 1990's Home Alone, its sequel Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Maid in Manhattan and many more.. His last film as a director was 1991's Curly Sue.
