Hard-hitting veteran broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez formally takes a leave of absence from TV news program “Bandila” and her DZMM radio commentary program “Tambalang Failon-Sanchez” starting May 8 for she will enter and will be busy for her wedding to Senator Mar Roxas II which their engagement was confirmed at ABS-CBN’s noontime show “Wowowee” last April 18.
After 20 years of media service, Korina's temporary farewell will also mark the start of her undying support and preparation for her future husband's bid for the Presidency in the upcoming 2010 election.
Sanchez said it was now time to give more time with the man she loves and she slams some critics in their speculations that she uses her show in order to boost Mar's Presidential bid.
“I am not stupid. Maybe people would like to kid themselves believing someone is using and the other is being used…. No one gets to use me unless I want to be used.”
But until Mar Roxas file his candidacy, Korina (many calling her future first lady) will still continue to host her weekly ABS-CBN magazine show, "Rated K".
