Many are now gearing up for the upcoming exciting battle between Boxing's Pound for Pound Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Ricky "the Hitman" Hatton but before the big fight, another attraction is being anticipated by Filipino fans.
In every Pacquiao fight, many Filipinos are asking who will sing the Philippine National Anthem. Right now, Lea Salonga, Martin Nievera and Charice are some of the names that pop up.
In her recent interview, Award-winning stage actress Lea Salonga expressed her interest and volunteered to sing the “Lupang Hinirang” in the boxing event that will be held at MGM Grand in Las Vegas next month.
But still there's no confirmation from the Pacquiao's camp.
Lea said, "I would love to do it. First of all, I'm already in Vegas, I have concert on May 1. The fight is on May 2, nandoon na ako, kunin niyo na ako. I have been trying to find a way to get through".
All good great singers whoever Pacquiao will pick from the three.
