ABS-CBN airs the ‘Miss Universe 2011’ Pageant live!

More than 80 of the most beautiful and most gorgeous women from around the world will gather in Sao Paolo, Brazil this Tues Sep 13/Manila Time (Sept. 12th - 9PM ET on NBC) as the most beautiful day in the universe happens in the much-awaited coronation night of the “Miss Universe 2011.”

US Girls' Fab Pinays: Pinky Webb, Lea Salonga & Venus Raj

As a part of their month-long anniversary celebration, Studio 23’s Us Girls will be featuring three fabulous Pinay women -- Newscaster Pinky Webb, International star Lea Salonga and 2010 Miss Universe fourth runner-up Venus Raj.

Lea Salonga expressed interest to sing National anthem in Pacquiao-Hatton fight

Many are now gearing up for the upcoming exciting battle between Boxing's Pound for Pound Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Ricky "the Hitman" Hatton but before the big fight, another attraction is being anticipated by Filipino fans.

In every Pacquiao fight, many Filipinos are asking who will sing the Philippine National Anthem. Right now, Lea Salonga, Martin Nievera and Charice are some of the names that pop up.

In her recent interview, Award-winning stage actress Lea Salonga expressed her interest and volunteered to sing the “Lupang Hinirang” in the boxing event that will be held at MGM Grand in Las Vegas next month.

But still there's no confirmation from the Pacquiao's camp.

Lea said, "I would love to do it. First of all, I'm already in Vegas, I have concert on May 1. The fight is on May 2, nandoon na ako, kunin niyo na ako. I have been trying to find a way to get through".

All good great singers whoever Pacquiao will pick from the three.

Lea Salonga for "Dangal ng Musikang Pilipino award" and 21st Awit Awards list of winners

The recipient of the Philippine Association of the Record Industry's "Dangal ng Musikang Pilipino award" goes to Lea Salonga. It was given during the e 21st Awit Awards ceremony held at the Eastwood Central Plaza in Libis, Quezon City, November 26.

The sad new is she was unable to attend the said ceremony because she is currently in Hong Kong for the musical play, Cinderella.

A video message was sent in the ceremony thanking PARI for the recognition.

This year's event was hosted by hosted by MYX VJ Nikki Gil and balladeer Christian Bautista.
