The engagement is off!!
Britney Spears and her fiance Jason Trawick have officially ended their relationship after being engaged for a year.
In a joint statement (via People), the singer's rep says that "Britney Spears and Jason Trawick have mutually agreed to end their one-year engagement. As two mature adults, they came to the difficult decision to go their separate ways while continuing to remain friends."
Trawick added: “As this chapter ends for us a new one begins. I love and cherish her and her boys and we will be close forever.”
Trawick, who became Spears' manager from 2008 to 2012, was also given the co-conservator role. He and Britney's father Jamie both shared legal control over Britney's personal issues.
Before the break-up announcement, Spears announced she would not be returning to The X Factor next season.
