Actress Q’orianka Kilcher was arrested Tuesday during a political protest in Washington, D.C. (June 1)
The 20year-old human rights and environmental activist reportedly tied herself to a fence at the White House while her mother Saskia poured a thick black substance over her (poured black paint on her to signify oil).
The actress is protesting the visit of Peru’s president Alan Garcia. The police charge Q’orianka with disorderly conduct while her mother is charged with defacing government property.
Also according Boston Globe, Q'orianka Kilcher was a solid supporter of "Peruvian indigenous leader Alberto Pizango, who has been accused of fueling protests against foreign investment in which more than 30 people died."
Q'orianka is best known for her role as Pocahontas in the 2005 film The New World.
