Teacher Yankumi is saving the earth

Yukie Nakama (popularly known as Yankumi/Yamaguchi Kumiko) is saving the earth, Tokyograph reports.

Yukie and boy band Arashi will be hosting NTV's charity program "24 Hour Television" with this year's theme "Love Saves the Earth" on August 30-31.

The said show will feature her in character as Yankumi (Gangster's grand daughter turned Teacher) from the "Gokusen" drama series.

The Gokusen series is now on their third season.

Gokusen 3 return in 2008

Kumiko Yamaguchi also known as "Yankumi" is coming back.

The third season of "Gokusen" led by Yukie Nakama will premiere in April 2008.

Gokusen got 17.4% rating in the first season in 2002, while the 2005 sequel averaged ratings of 28.0%.

The production is finishing the cast list by the end of this year.
