Both appeared together in the 2008 Woody Allen romantic comedy "Vicky Cristina Barcelona."

Penélope Cruz is Blackbeard's daughter in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides"

The lovely Penélope Cruz has the blood of Johnny Depp's arch-enemy in the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides". Penélope will be playing the daughter of Blackbeard.

"She plays the daughter of Blackbeard," executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer told MTV News. "She's the daughter of the bad guy.

"She brings a lot of humor to it. And the fact that she's so feisty," he continued, adding that there will be "a little romance between [Depp's] Captain Jack and the character that Penelope plays."

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides will begin filming in June for a May 2011 release.

The Spanish couple met while filming Jamon, Jamon in 1992 and their chemistry flourish as they worked together again in 2008's Vicky Christina Barcelona.

Penelope's previously shared in her interview that she didn’t know if she even believed in marriage, “I don’t know if I believe in marriage. I believe in family, love and children.”
