After serving eight months at Rikers Island jail, rapper Dwayne Michael Carter Jr. aka Lil Wayne will now do three years of unsupervised probation and 360 hours of community service. Adding some icing to the probation, the court ordered that he must avoid alcohol or any controlled substances!

After several postponement, Rapper Lil Wayne (real name: Dwayne Carter) is now at the Rikers Island jail complex to begin his one year jail time over gun possession.

Wayne is "being held apart from the general population of inmates because of his fame. Lil Wayne's sentencing was delayed due to dental reasons
"Don't forget about me!" is Lil Wayne's final message to his fans but the rapper got some break before his trip to jail. He is supposed to be formally sentenced on a gun possession and served a one-year sentence but the sentencing is now being delayed.

Lil Wayne pleaded guilty for gun possession
Rapper Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to attempted weapon possession after being caught July of 2007 for carrying a gun found inside a Louis Vuitton bag when police pulled over his tour bus in New York. Wayne is expecting a one year jail term and his sentencing, set for February..
