Katherine Heigl is looking radiantly lovely in the June 2010 issue of Harper’s Bazaar and in her interview, she opens up about her straight forward opinion, career, relationship and motherhood.

Katherine on speaking her mind: “I spent so many years just saying what I felt without thinking about the ramifications, without understanding that I have this opinion but not everyone might share that opinion and now they don’t like me because of it. That was really awkward.”

Katherine on Naleigh's special condition: "Her heart is 100 percent fine now. She has a scar, so she won't be wearing bikinis, which is fine by us. A lot of children don't find forever homes because they're on that special-needs list, even if it's because of something as simple as her mother smoked cigarettes for a month, not knowing she was pregnant. That's not so huge that you couldn't handle it."

Katherine finds it a challenge to keep up with the fashions of fellow celebrities' daughters: “Dude, I try, but I’m not nailing the baby fashion. It’s intimidating. I get beautiful outfits from Gap and baby Juicy, but I’m not layering it or putting her in Prada flats. It’s really stressing me out.”

Katherine on being a normal girl: “I hate it when people say this, but I’m a people pleaser,” she explains. “I was really raised with the idea that it’s important to be honest and to share your experiences, both disappointing and exhilarating. But sometimes I think the American public just wants to see my life a good fortune. They don’t want to know about the day-to-day. It ruins the fantasy. It’s lame to say that I’m a normal girl, but I think I am.”

Katherine on her marriage to singer Josh Kelley: “There were a good few weeks when I almost smothered him with his pillow,” she says. But that’s marriage, she adds: “two people with totally different lives and totally different experiences just trying to fit.”

Katherine Heigl confirms leaving "Grey's Anatomy"

It's official, Dr. Izzie Stevens is leaving Seattle Grace!!

Actress Katherine Heigl (aka Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens) has finally confirmed that she's leaving the hit series "Grey's Anatomy".

“I am done,” Heigl tells EW. “We just finalized our agreement. Everyone had been working really hard to find an amicable and gracious way of letting go and moving on. It’s sad but it’s what I wanted.”

Despite previous reports that she wants to focus on her film career, the 31-year-old actress reveals that her family is her top priority right now, “I started a family and it changed everything for me. It changed my desire to work full-time.”

Grey’s creator Shonda Rhimes agreed to release Heigl from her contract 18 months early.

I'm sure that "Grey's Anatomy" still have great stories to offer and Heigl's departure is just a minor setback.

Katherine Heigl's wardrobe malfunction at ShoWest awards

Katherine Heigl almost gave a sneak peek after a wardrobe malfunction during the ShoWest awards in Las Vegas Thursday. (March 18)

Heigl is accepting her Female Star of the Year Award when one of the straps came undone. Billy Bush came to the rescue holding the broken strap so she could finish her speech.

Meanwhile, Heigl is now on the way out of the hit series "Grey’s Anatomy" after the show's creator Shonda Rimes agreed to release Heigl from her contract.

No more "Grey’s Anatomy" for Katherine Heigl

No more scrubs for Katherine Heigl as she is now on the way out of the hit series "Grey’s Anatomy" after the show's creator Shonda Rimes agreed to release Heigl from her contract.

According to EW, "Shonda Rhimes has agreed to release the fast-rising movie star from her contract. It’s now up to ABC Studios and Heigl’s reps to hash out a final exit agreement."

"Heigl was scheduled to return to the Grey’s set on March 1 to begin work on the five remaining episodes of the season but there’s just one problem: March 1 came and went and there was no Heigl."

Katherine Heigl Takes "One For The Money"

"Grey's Anatomy" star Katherine Heigl is set to pull some trigger in the forthcoming film "One For The Money", based on the Janet Evanovich novel of the same name.

Heigl will play Stephanie Plum, an unemployed lingerie buyer who becomes a bounty hunter to make ends meet. - Variety

Reese Witherspoon was originally attached to play the lead but the project got delayed.

Katherine Heigl's Adopted Korean Baby Naleigh

Charmingly cute family, couple Katherine Heigl and husband Josh Kelley introduced and released the first photos of their 10-month-old daughter Naleigh, whom they adopted from South Korea.

Katherine and Josh have named their daughter Nancy Leigh and she will go by the nickname Naleigh. She is named after Katherine’s mother Nancy and Katherine's sister Margaret Leigh. Katherine, Josh and Naleigh are together and doing well.

It seems Katherine Heigl want the quickest way to have a baby. She and musician husband Josh Kelley decided to adopt a baby this week.

According to Radaronline, "The baby is from Korea. Her full name is Nayleigh and her nickname will be Leigh. The baby is approximately 10 months old."

Adopting a baby is an idea that she planned couple of years ago. On USA today, she says "I've always planned to adopt anyway, but that definitely reinforced my want to. I'm done with the whole idea of having my own children. (It) doesn't seem like any fun. I don't think it's necessary to go through all of that."

Meanwhile, Heigl got a leave of absence from Grey's Anatomy to film the movie Life As We Know It.

Katherine Heigl: "I'm the foot-in-mouth gal" (InStyle - August 2009)

Katherine Heigl graces the August 2009 issue of InStyle and she openly talks about her personality and career.

On her new romantic comedy "The Ugly Truth" (r rating): "I know this is going to sound bad but I'm really glad [Ugly Truth is rated] R. I didn't want to do another PG-13 movie. [In any real-life contentious relationship with romantic underpinnings] you're probably going to drop the F-bomb once in a while. You're probably going to say some things that are kind of harsh. And you're definitely going to talk about sex. It doesn't have to be so Snow White and Prince Charming."

On being honest and straight forward (especially her Grey’s Anatomy comment): "Now I've got this moniker that I'm the foot-in-mouth gal, and I keep thinking, In what way? Because I said something you don't agree with? Because I said something you don't like? I'm just telling you my opinion. I hate the idea that I can't be honest about how I feel about things because it's going to piss somebody off who feels differently. That seems preposterous to me."


On meeting her husband Josh Kelley: "In my early 20s, I didn't know who I was or what I wanted… I was fed up with trying to be somebody else, and got really lucky and met a great guy [husband Josh Kelley] who loved me for me. I keep telling my friends, seriously, write down what you want and make it specific. Like, I'm talking, do you want a beach house in Venice? Be specific and be creative and define not only what you want in your career but what you want in your personal life.”

On Living Life Despite Tragedy...: "Here's the deal: This is what my family and I have been through [her older brother died in a car accident and her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer], and although we're not perfect, we are survivors… No one in my family ever said, 'Life's not worth living because this happened or that happened to me.' It's always worth living, and living well."

Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl claims that she is confident woman especially if your talking about her appearance but she felt bad in some of her paparazzi photos.

Heigl said, “I always assume I look better than I actually do. I’ll feel pretty good about myself when I leave the house, then I’ll see a picture and think, ‘C**p, I had no idea that’s what I was looking like.’“

Aside from her image, Katherine claims that maturity gave her more confidence as a woman with opinions.

Heigl said, “I’m not out burning bras, but I’m very opinionated about women owning their power. I look back at my twenties and see that I was much less confident. You repress how you really feel because society tells us what women think isn’t valid, that we’re frivolous and shallow.”

T. R. Knight is confirm out of Grey's Anatomy

With two cliffhanger on season five finale of Grey's Anatomy, the fate of T. R. Knight(Dr. George O'Malley) and Katherine Heigl (Dr. Isobel "Izzie" Stevens) is now determined.

Grey's Anatomy co-star Melissa George confirms via US that he's leaving the show, she said, "Yes, he is".

Reportedly, Knight is now eying a the Broadway revival of Lend Me a Tenor in 2010.

For Katherine Heigl, E! reports that one of their source confirms that Katherine Heigl "will be back."

After is was reported that Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight are leaving Grey's Anatomy and was confirmed by co-star James Pickens Jr., the show's creator Shonda Rhimes has denied the rumored news and set the record straight that Knight and Heigl will stay at the said show.

Rhimes said during the 40th NAACP Image Awards, “That was a very interesting rumor. And it’s not true.”
