Before the issue blows out of proportion, John Mayer is now apologizing for using the N-Word in his controversial Playboy interview.

In his Playboy interview: Someone asked me the other day, “What does it feel like now to have a hood pass?” And by the way, it’s sort of a contradiction in terms, because if you really had a hood pass, you could call it a nigger pass. Why are you pulling a punch and calling it a hood pass if you really have a hood pass? But I said, “I can’t really have a hood pass. I’ve never walked into a restaurant, asked for a table and been told, ‘We’re full.’"

John Mayer issued an apology on his Twitter page:

"Re: using the 'N word' in an interview: I am sorry that I used the word. And it's such a shame that I did because the point I was trying to make was in the exact opposite spirit of the word itself. It was arrogant of me to think I could intellectualize using it, because I realize that there's no intellectualizing a word that is so emotionally charged....Again, because I don't want anyone to think I'm equivocating: I should have never said the word and I will never say it again."

TMZ got John Mayer's mugshot; $25,000 deal

John Mayer announced a challenge via Twitter to TMZ's Harvey Levin that if TMZ could find his mug shot, Mayer would donate $25,000 to a charity of his choice.

John tweeted, "Challenge: if Harvey Levin at TMZ can produce my mugshot, I will donate 25k to the charity of his choice."

TMZ prevailed, they got his mug shot and it was taken on May 26, 2001 when John was arrested in Atlanta for driving on a suspended license.

True to his words, John Mayer released some dough. He split the 25k to pet orphans fund and Ace of Hearts.

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer : breaks up again

The on and off couple Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer has decided once again to split up. Reportedly, John dumped Aniston for the second time.

Sources tells People, “They had some disagreements and decided to not continue to see each other,” says one source. “Jen is moving on with her life like she always does. She seems happy.”

A second source says Mayer broke up with Aniston after she returned from Europe.

It seems their is no problem when the couple appeared together at the Oscars last month. For some, a happy ending will be always a fairy tale.

John Mayer is now rejuvenate

Drum roll......... John Mayer is now rejuvenated and he is no longer angry. In his post entry on his blog, he is now enjoying off time right now.

"I am not darker, angrier or moodier these days. In fact, it's just the opposite. All that's happened is that I've given up on trying to find a way to use unwanted media as a form of entertainment. (It still was worth a try.) A walk to the car isn't the best time to try and analyze my mood or disposition, so you'll probably always get a bad read from it.

Here's what I think some of you might be missing... I'm enjoying off time right now. That means I'm not really playing any shows as I concentrate on making the next album. Traditionally that would mean that you never see me at all, and my absence makes your hearts grow fonder, and then I appear again with my next collection of work and we all get grooving again. Things have changed a bit, and the decision to slide on and off your radar isn't so much my own anymore. But I'm too young to stomp my feet about it. All I can do is concentrate on keeping my heart and soul correct and then redecorate around it."

John Mayer is kick-arse

John Mayer blogged his recent European tour and he described it as a "absolute blast" and being a young man is kick-ass.

Here's some snippets:
I'm laying in my London hotel room in one of my least favorite scenarios: the job is done today but the plane takes off tomorrow. The European tour was an absolute blast and I think I speak for the band and crew when I say that all sights are set firmly on the US tour and making it the best ever.

As a 30-year old with an eight-year mainstream professional music career, I couldn't be happier (and more thankful) to still have a gig. All I can think about when I'm on stage these days is how terrible it would feel to have learned how to make the most out of each and every show after the gig was up.
