Dolphy Died (Philippines' King of Comedy)!; He was 83

Philippines' King of Comedy "Dolphy" just passed away on Tuesday around 8:34 pm at Makati Medical Center after suffering multiple organ failure due to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).  (July 10)

The 83-year-old veteran actor (real name: Rodolfo Vera Quizon, Sr.) is best known as John Purungtong in the family-oriented prime time sitcom   “John en Marsha” opposite Nida Blanca.

Dolphy contributed to the gay community with his famous gay roles in  films like “Facifica Falayfay” and d “Markova: Comfort Gay.”

Pres. Noynoy Aquino awarded Dolphy the recognition of the Grand Collar of the Order of the Golden Heart back in 2010.

Dolphy ....RIP.
