Today show host Kathie Lee Gifford got entangled in a minor controversy by mistakenly asking Martin Short about his late wife during an interview on Wednesday.
Gifford asked
Short's marriage secret, saying, ”How many years are you in love with her now?”
Short, who was surprised about the question, just quietly replied, “Thirty-six.”
Gifford realized her error and she immediately apologized on air. She also tweeted,
”I send my sincerest apologies to @MartinShort and his family. He handled situation w/enormous grace and kindness and I’m so grateful.”
Gifford is surely thinking....Ooops...
