According to EW, the 37-year-old host signed a two year deal with the reality singing competition.
“Ryan is one of a kind,” Mike Darnell, president of alternative at Fox said. “His ability to engage the viewers, keep the contestants at ease during intense moments and adapt to any situation, especially during the live shows, solidifies him as the absolute best in the business.”
Meanwhile, American Idol is nearing the finals of the eleventh season.
