R&B legend Etta James died; She was 73.

R&B legend Etta James, who is famous for her classic hits "At Last" and "Something's Got a Hold on Me", has died after battling leukemia at a hospital in Riverside, California (January 20). She 73 years-old.


Reportedly, after learning of her leukemia in 2010, the veteran singer was also diagnosed with dementia and hepatitis C.

Etta’s manager Lupe De Leon, said in a statement: “This is a tremendous loss for the family, her friends and fans around the world. She was a true original who could sing it all – her music defied category. I worked with Etta for over 30 years. She was my friend and I will miss her always.”

Etta won six Grammys was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 1993 and Blues Hall of Fame in 2001. Beyonce portrayed Etta James in the 2008 film "Cadillac Records."
