Bravo cancels “The Real Housewives of D.C.”

No more second season for “The Real Housewives of D.C.” after it failed to capture the viewers interest --- Bravo decided to junk the show...


Andy Cohen, Bravo’s executive vice president, has confirmed that the network canceled the program.
“We had an amazing season and we told stories that were unique to any other in the franchise. I wish all our DC Wives the best and hope to work with them again in another capacity,” Cohen said. “I wish all our D.C. wives the best and hope to work with them again in another capacity.”
D.C. debut in August last year and it was the fifth series of the franchise to air on Bravo. Other  versions : Orange County, New York City, Atlanta, New Jersey, Miami and Beverly Hills.

The "D.C." downfall is also due to “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” emerging popularity which deliver more intriguing set up.

The cancellation of D.C. marks the first time a Housewives series failed to enter second season.
