British actor Michael Gough, who is popularly known for his role as Bruce Wayne's butler Alfred Pennyworth in all four movies of the Burton/Schumacher “Batman” franchise, has passed away on Thursday (March 17). He was 94 years-old.
The veteran actor appeared in more than 100 movies and he won Broadway's 1979 Tony Award as Best Actor for Bedroom Farce.
Some of his film credits includes “Blanche Fury” (1947), “Dracula” (1958), “Phantom Of the Opera” (1962), "The Corpse" (1970), "Satan's Slave" (1976), "Out of Africa" (1985), "The Age of Innocence" (1993), "Sleepy Hollow" (1999), "Corpse Bride" (2005) and Alice in Wonderland (2010).
