Top networks from five Southeast Asian countries joined forces to launch its first regional contest dubbed as the SMART Alliance Pitch.
Members of the SMART Alliance namely ABS-CBN (Philippines), BBTV (Thailand), Media Nusantra Citra (Indonesia), Media Prima (Malaysia), and MediaCorp (Singapore), organized the SMART Alliance Pitch competition to search for a winning television programme idea from the general public.
Ideas are invited for television entertainment across various genres like variety shows, game shows, reality shows and so on.
Shortlisted finalists will be invited for a face-to-face pitch in Singapore with judges comprising of media and broadcasting veterans from the five leading broadcasters in the region.
The winning pitch for the entertainment programme or format will stand to win US$15,000 cash and the idea will be made into a television programme to air in the SMART Alliance.

Smart Alliance was formed in March 2009 by six founding broadcasters and member-countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). It aims to create and deliver commercial benefits to its members, and deliver the best content in Southeast Asia that could potentially reach over half a billion eyeballs.
