Russell Hantz: criminal charges dropped

"Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" runner up Russell Hantz scored a win on his legal troubles after being charged with battery during Festival International de Louisiane last April.

TMZ has learned the District Attorney in Lafayette, LA has decided not to file criminal charges against the reality star -- and we're told the decision was made at "the victim's request.

Russell was accused of shoving a woman to the ground but later on it was revealed that the woman apparently, been verbally arguing with him.

Hantz is the best player to play the Survivor game and he was named fan favorites.
