Circuit Magazine is celebrating Independence Day with it's Freedom issue featuring Independence Day birthday celebrant/actress Carla Abellana.
The 23 year-old actress shared her thoughts about politics, the upcoming Aquino administration and her boundaries as a young adult.
Some highlights of her interview:
Are you a rebel or a follower? No, I’m very obedient. I’m disciplined. I was raised that way. I don’t go crazy when I’m free or what.
If you were to write a note “Dear Mr. President,” what would you tell him? Dear Mr. President, your mother started something very good for the country. We hope that you will continue her legacy.
And now it looks like it’s going to be Noynoy. Yeah! But you know what, there’s hope. The hope of Filipinos is there. So hopefully, he gives justice to his victory as President. But we’ll see. It’s good that everybody has hope.
Who’s your freedom icon? My mom. From what she went she went through early in her life, she got to go out and do anything she wants—because she came from a bad marriage. Then, she had us very early. She just worked and did everything she wanted. She’s my icon.
This June issue also celebrates Pinoys progressive pop culture through the “Pinoy Pride List,” hot picks in music, books and movie. More info about the events, the stories and the people who celebrate freedom.
Carla is currently busy with her two GMA drama series projects: "Sine Novela: Basahang Ginto" and "Love Bug Presents Last Romance".
