Former Food Network Chef Juan Carlos Cruz is a suspect of a a murder-for-hire plot which the target is his own wife. The former "Calorie Commando" host was arrested on suspicion of solicitation to commit murder in Santa Monica, California (May 13).
Juan Carlos allegedly went to several homeless people in Santa Monica earlier this month and said he would pay them to kill his wife but the homeless people went to the police and agreed to cooperate with the investigation.
Chef is currently being held on $5 million bail.
