Richard Gomez's ambition to enter the crazy world of politics was halted once more and now his lovely-stunning wife Lucy Torres-Gomez will replaced him as Liberal Party (LP) congressional candidate in the fourth district of Leyte.
TV host Lucy Torres-Gomez became Richard's substitute candidate after Comelec disqualified him from running for Congress in Ormoc, Leyte due to residency issues.
The TV host/actor filed a motion for reconsideration with the Commission on Elections but the decision is still pending and Richard's camp doesn't want to gamble on it.
In 2001, Gomez ran as party-list representative for Mamamayang Ayaw sa Droga (MAD) but the group was disqualified and he also run for Senator but he failed.
