"Deadliest Catch" Phil Harris suffered a stroke last Friday and TMZ is now reporting that he underwent a 12-hour emergency surgery last night ... and was put in a medically induced coma.

Phil Harris is the captain of F/V Cornelia Marie and joining his crew are his two sons Jake and Josh.
