The journey of Janelle Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez, Joe Munoz, and Tyler Grady in American Idol Season 9 ended after failing to received enough votes to keep them in the competition.
Janell Wheeler, who sang Heart's "What About Love" is the first to go. Simon Cowell felt that Janell gave less than 100 percent on her performance.
The second girl booted out is Ashley Rodriguez who delivered her rendition of Leona Lewis' "Happy". She said after being cut, “I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me from day one."
Judges’ favorite Joe Munoz, who performed Jason Mraz's "You and I Both" was sent packing. AI judge Simon felt lack of power and relevance in her performance. Fellow AI contestant Tim Urban gave a stunned expression after being saved from the cut.
70's dude Tyler Grady, who performed "American Woman" is the fourth AI hopeful to go home.
