Another new journey for singing hopefuls to become famous as they enter the 9th season of the "American Idol".
The singing competition will return next month with a two-night, four-hour premiere featuring auditions in Boston (airing Jan. 12/Tuesday) and Atlanta (January 13/Wednesday). The 9th season will also feature AI's new judge Ellen DeGeneres who replaced Paula Abdul.
Ellen's charm and criticism to the AI contestants will debut on February after the tryout rounds episodes.
AI heats up using guest judges at the auditions like Victoria Beckham, Mary J. Blige, Kristin Chenoweth, Neil Patrick Harris, Joe Jonas, Avril Lavigne, Katy Perry and Shania Twain.
