An extortionist is threatening TV host David Letterman and demanded $2 million to kept his mouth shut about Letterman's secret affair he had with his female employees but the veteran host didn't bow down.
Reportedly, Letterman received a package three weeks ago in which the sender claimed to have information about alleged sexual affair between him and some female employees on his staff.
Letterman decided to contact the Manhattan District Attorney's office. An investigation and an entrapment plan was conducted, issuing a “phony” $2 million check which led to the extortionist's arrest on Thursday.
Letterman testify before a grand jury and admits his sexual relationships with his staff.
BTW, Letterman recently wed longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko last March.
UPDATE: According to TMZ, "the identity of the alleged extortionist who was arrested today. His name is Robert Halderman. He's 51 years old and lives in Norwalk, CT. Halderman has a business in Manhattan, where he was arrested today."
