Meryll Soriano doesn't want her father Willie Revillame to join politics

If some people are wooing controversial TV host Willie Revillame to go and enter the politics arena and run in next year’s Philippine national elections, her own daughter-actress Meryll Soriano is objecting to such idea.

Meryll doesn't want her father to join the wild world of politics and she feels it is another league that too much to handle.

She told abs-cbnNEWS.com, "We are all part of the country. But to be part of that (politics), you really have to be well educated. Kung magsasabi siya sa akin na mag-aaral siya, sige go. Pero kung papasok ka lang [just because you want] to help, well… (he) is already a philanthropist."

“I really don't want him to run at all,” she added. "Being in the government is very delekado for us, for our family and for him and mawawala ang novelty ng ginagawa nya. Ayoko po talaga."

In spite of Willie's popularity, I don't believe can win a position in national level. Other politician will just use him in their campaign.
