"Inglourious Basterds" is victorious in weekend box office with $37.6 million.

Quentin Tarantino's World War II movie "Inglourious Basterds" starring Brad Pitt claimed victory at the weekend box office with $37.6 million.

"Basterds" is now Tarantino's best opening ever, exceeding the $25.1 million of his 2004's "Kill Bill — Vol. 2."
