Columbia Pictures Drops the Ball on Brad Pitt's Moneyball

Columbia Pictures called a timeout for Steven Soderbergh's “Moneyball,” which stars Brad Pitt after Columbia's Amy Pascal decided to put the new project into "limited turnaround" ( free to shop it elsewhere).

Pascal didn't like Steven Soderbergh's final script adaptation of Michael Lewis' book "Moneyball: The Art of Winning An Unfair Game."
Columbia Pictures topper Amy Pascal placed the picture into “limited turnaround,” giving the filmmaker the chance to set it up at another studio, with Warner Bros. and Paramount the prime targets.

The move came after Pascal read a rewrite that Soderbergh did to Steven Zaillian's script and found it very different from the earlier scripts she championed. Pascal was uncomfortable enough with how the vision had changed that she applied the brakes. -Variety
The good thing is, it is not yet a strike out but Columbia will just hope that if they decide to replace Soderbergh, Brad will stay on board.
