With the Alabang Boys' drug controversy is shadowing the national scene in the Philippines and authorities reveals that entertainment artist are involved with illegal drugs. Several GMA network contract artist voluntarily underwent drug test at the Philippine National Police (PNP) headquarters at Camp Crame to show support for the government’s campaign against illegal drugs.
Artist who took the test are: Mark Herras, Rainier Castillo, Mike Tan, Ryza Cenon, Iwa Moto, Prince Stefan, Paulo Avelino, Kevin Santos, Gino dela Peña, Kaye Alipio and Victor Aliwalas.
Director General Jesus Verzosa thanks the celebrities who participated and set a good example for the other artist.
"I would like to thank the celebrities who took this initiative. These personalities are normally viewed as role models and what they did is a great example to other teenagers to be responsible and stay away from illegal drugs."
