Screen legend and the original Mr. Cool Paul Newman died after a long battle with cancer in Westport, Connecticut. He was 83.
The award winning actor gave a great performance in every role that he performed. He starred in such films as: Hud, The Towering Inferno, Cool Hand Luke, Message In a Bottle, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, The Sting, The Verdict and The Hustler.
He won an Oscar in 1986 for “The Color of Money,” a sequel to “The Hustler.” Among his other awards was the Motion Picture Academy’s Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
Newman donated over $200 million dollars to charity during his lifetime from his signature line of salad dressings and other food products.
