PRC: Professional licensure exams for artists, media people

Another crazy/money making proposal of Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). Their are planning to to give licensure exams to movie industry professionals like the directors, producers, scriptwriters, cinematographers, actors, and the ordinary movie workers. They said this is to regulate the Philippine entertainment industry by issuing licenses to the movie industry professionals.

There is also a proposal to give licensure exams to PR practitioners and advertisers including copy writers and account executives.

Maybe PRC is so bored that their thinking another way to be notice. How can they grade a talent of an artist? Some artist only gets honed over the years.

This is just another way by the Philippine government to juice up some money to many artist. PRC must first resolve and take care the old Nursing exam controversy and put the culprit in jail rather than this proposal that they cannot handle.

The Professional Artist doesn't need a silly exam but they need a law that will protect the welfare of all the artist and the ordinary movie workers.
