The blue-and-white robotic cat has a new mission and it has achieve the respect from the Japanese government.
The friendly cat Doraemon was appointed by Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs as its first "Anime Ambassador." He will appear in commercial ads and films overseas to promote Japan's culture.
Doraemon television series stills airs in different parts of Asia like the Philippines. Penname Fujiko F. Fujio created this futuristic cat.
Yuko Hotta from Japan's foreign ministry said "By appointing Doraemon, we hope people in other countries will understand Japanese anime better and deepen their interest in Japanese culture".
