Teri Hatcher is in trouble again. After the Desperate Housewives "racial slur" controversy, Hydroderm is suing the actress for r $2 million because she apparently went and endorced a competitor’s brand, City Cosmetics, right after she signed Hydroderm’s contract.
According to DailyNews:
According to the suit, Hatcher and Hydroderm entered into a contract in November 2005 to use her services to promote the company's products.
Despite the agreement's anti-competition clause, Hatcher endorsed City Cosmetics products before and after the Hydroderm agreement was signed by posing for photos, agreeing to be interviewed about the competitor's products and identifying herself as a fan of what they sell, according to the suit.
One of the items Hatcher endorsed was a City Cosmetics lip plumper that directly competes with Hydroderm's lip enhancer, the suit alleges.
Hydroderm learned about the alleged breaches over the summer and would not have contracted with Hatcher if they knew her intentions with City Cosmetics, the suit states.
