Actress Marian Rivera will continue her reign as GMA-7's queen of primetime as  she signed another exclusive contract with GMA Network, September 7.

Cesar Montano is now a certified Kapuso; Working on "Romana San­ta"

Veteran actor/host Cesar Montano will now be working again in GMA grounds as he inked a deal for one-year exclusive contract in the Kapuso network. The contract signing held at GMA Network Center, July 15.

The event was witness by Atty. Felipe Gozon (Chairman, President and CEO), Mr. Jimmy Duavit (Executive Vice President and COO), and Ms. Wilma Galvante (SVP for Entertainment TV).

Cesar previously worked with GMA Films in the award-winning projects like "Jose Rizal" in 1998 and "Muro Ami" in 1999.

Her last project in ABS-CBN are "Singing Bee" and guest host gig in "Wowowee".

Cesar ran for Governor of Bohol last May 2010 national election but he failed. After the election, Cesar admits that ABS-CBN is not offering him any regular show so he decided to move on.

Reportedly, his first project in GMA is "Romana San­ta" with Aljur Abrenica and Rhian Ramos.

Anne Curtis sustained a minor injury after car accident

Filipina actress Anne Curtis sustained a minor injury after her Porsche Cayenne hit a mini-truck from behind.

The accidents happened at the corner of Congressional and Mindanao Avenues in Quezon City at around 2:30 am, July 27, 2009.

Anne is now reportedly at St. Luke’s Medical Center.

KC Concepcion was named National Ambassador Against Hunger of World Food Program for United Nations.

The mega daughter KC Concepcion is becoming a Angelina Jolie in the making...

The young actress has the beauty, the brain, the style and she also conducts humanitarian advocacy.

KC Concepcion was chosen as the new National Ambassador Against Hunger of World Food Program (WFP) for United Nations. She went on a three-month screening process and got approved by three offices—Rome, Vatican, and Thailand. She's only the third to be chosen from Southeast Asia.

Her first task as the ambassadress she went to South Cotabato yesterday (February 18) and she distribute foods to poor families. She also went to schools for their onsite feeding and distribution of warm formulated meals.

"I am so happy to be connected with the right channels talaga. It's quite a feat to feed hungry children everyday and help resolve conflict and keep them in school,"

"That's part of my job," KC added. "That is to help WFP work to put the issue of hunger at the center as a child dies of hunger somewhere around the world. Kawawa naman. The focus here is food for school to make kids stay in school. It also lessens child labor.

GMA Network slam a P15 million law suit to ABS-CBN and other personalities.

Last month GMA Chairman & CEO Atty. Felipe Gozon promised and said to their rival network(ABS-CBN) that they will give them a good fight, not just in the courts, but in the hearts and minds of the people.

Today GMA Network filed a P15-million civil suit against rival network ABS-CBN.

GMA said, ABS-CBN done a series of on-the-air fabrication of statements imputing GMA 7 as behind the alleged rigging, manipulation of TV ratings in Bacolod City.

GMA Network also said that there is a malice and obvious intent to defame the plaintiff and ridicule it before the public.

GMA Network demanded P10 million from ABS-CBN for moral damages, P2.5 million for exemplary damages, P1.5 million for attorney's fees and P1 million for litigation expenses.

Network Rivalry rumors over Vandolph and Jenny wedding TV Rights

Rumors are spreading in Vandolph and Jenny nuptials. The network war between the two TV giants GMA and ABS-CBN continues even in celebrity weddings.

The TV rights in Vandolph Quizon and Jenny Fernandez Salimao wedding goes to GMA 7.

According to Philippine Entertainment Portal, some people from other camp (ABS-CBN) is questioning why and how GMA-7 won the rights to cover the said wedding. As we all know Vandolph and his father Dolphy is an artist of ABS-CBN.

Many noticed in the said wedding, principal sponsors from ABS-CBN like Gabby Lopez(big boss of channel ABS-CBN 2), Maricel Soriano, Sharon Cuneta, Kris Aquino, Deo Endrinal, and Cristy Fermin are not seen in that event and some are also saying that the artist of said channel boycott the event.

There is also some news that Vandolph's mother actress/politician Alma Moreno sold the rights to GMA.

Lolit Solis Fires back against Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby

The flaming talent manager, columnist and TV host Lolit Solis gave a response against the P12M suit filed by actor Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby.

Yesterday at Startalk (Entertainment talk show), Lolit declared a court war between her and Piolo's group. The P12M libel case is about the column written by Lolit in Pilipino Star Ngayon that insinuate the two actors are gay.



Lolit Solis challenged Piolo that she acquired a video that will prove that he is in Sofitel. Piolo contradict that statement that he is busy with a photoshoot with Timex at that moment.

Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby filed P12-million libel case against Lolit Solis

The lawyer of Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby sent a demand letter to Talent manager/writer Lolit Solis last week. They demand a retraction from Lolit that she have written in her column and a public apology. The feisty talent manager reiterated her stand that she is ready for any court case filed against her.

Yesterday morning, Actors Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby personally filed a P12-million libel case against talk show host Lolit Solis in connection with an article in her tabloid column alleging that she saw the two actors in a romantic situation.

In their complaint, Pascual and Milby alleged that Solis's October 15 article was "malicious, wanton and illegal," that they suffered mental anguish, serious anxiety, sleepless nights, besmirched reputation, wounded feelings and social humiliation.

Piolo's group added entertainment editor Verinica Samio of the tabloid Pilipino Star Ngayon in their complaint.

Piolo's group also said the column leaves no doubts in the minds of the readers that she intended us to be perceived as gay men.

Filipinos Applauded Kyla's Performance

Aside the much-anticipated rematch of Manny Pacquiao and Marco Antonio Barrera bout, Filipinos is also waiting the performance of the artist singing the national anthem.

Kyla was chosen to sing the "Lupang Hinirang" the national anthem of the Philippines. She admitted feeling so nervous before she took center stage to sing "Lupang Hinirang".

Her good preparation delivered her a great performance. I have read the comments in different forums, all comments are praises and congratulations for a job well done.

Pinky Marquez to the Rescue on Karel Marquez Pregnancy Issue

Their a rumors circulating around that former FHM Cover girl and "Ride to Fame" host Karel Marquez is pregnant. The issue started when Karel unexpectedly backed out or want to take a break from GMA's newest primetime show, Zaido: Pulis Pangkalawakan.
Karel's decision to cut short her Zaido stint was triggered by her desire to go to the United States to study. Hmmmm? I think and I heard that reason before. Yeah, that's Camille Prats reason before she finally announced that she is pregnant.

According to PEP, Pinky Marquez, mother of Karel, her decision to drop Zaido was purely because of time and health concerns. Pinky also said, "Even with Zaido, I was against it... The time of their taping would end at 10 a.m. the next day. Her resistance is weak. She's not getting any sleep. That's when you have so much work. It's like sunud-sunod," "She don't have the stamina to endure long tapings which is a given in doing TV series."

Pauleen Luna is not a replacement to Karel's character in Zaido. Pauleen will come in as Karel's sister.

After a good performance and exposure in a youth-oriented show "Boys Nxt Door ", she was handpicked by Miss Bikini Philippines organizers to represent the Philippines to Miss Internet World 2007. She was given the title Miss Internet World-Philippines.
Miss Internet World-Philippines is a part of a newly launch Miss Bikini Philippines 2008 at Garden Ballroom of EDSA Shangrila Plaza Hotel.
The organizers also launch Ann Rhea Macapagal, member of 26k girls of "Kapamilya Deal or No Deal" for Miss Bikini World and ABS-CBN's Princess Ryan for Miss Bikini International.

Christian Bautista Advocacy Against Human Trafficking.

After the national anthem memory lapse, MTV(Music Television)Philippines select singer Christian Bautista to represent and host a TV special aimed at raising awareness about human trafficking.
Yesterday at the Hard Rock Café in Makati City, MTV launch "Exit: End Exploitation and Trafficking" campaign. Human trafficking is a billion-dollar business and a worldwide problem, with the majority of victims coming from Asia and the Pacific.

According to Christian, being a celebrity entails a lot of social responsibility, and being one puts him in a position to help and encourage young people to support worthwhile endeavors.

Lupang Hinirang is the national anthem of the Philippines. Kyla is chosen to sing the national anthem in Pacquiao-Barrera II bout in Las Vegas. She was chosen unanimously by GMA 7 Network and Solar Sports.
Their's a rumor that before Kyla was selected, actress Ara Mina is also being consider but she is romantically link allegedly to Manny Pacquiao and Jinky (Manny's Wife) doesn't like it.
