Angelina Jolie eying "Maleficent" role? (Sleeping Beauty movie)

Last January, it was reported that Tim Burton is eying to develop another classic Disney tale which is "Sleeping Beauty". The new adaption will focus on the villain character "Maleficent" (Mistress of All Evil)".

LA Times is now adding more spice with the forthcoming movie. Reportedly, Angelina Jolie has expressed her interest in the titular villain role "Maleficent".

The idea of Tim Burton collaborating with Angelina Jolie really pumps me up. It will be very interesting and intriguing seeing Angelina doing the evil witch.

Johnny Depp and Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" continues to enchant the moviegoers as it raked in $34.5 million, totaling to $265,800,000 (Domestic) and a worldwide total of $565.8 million.

"Alice in Wonderland" still no.1 with $62 million (second week); Green Zone debut with $14.5 million

Johnny Depp and Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" remained magical as it conquer again the No. 1 spot for the second consecutive week with $62 million beating Matt Damon's War thriller "Green Zone" which debuted at No. 2 with $14.5 million.

Tim Burton interested in Maleficent's Story (Sleeping Beauty)

Director Tim Burton want to explore and adapt another classic Disney tale which is Sleeping Beauty but the intriguing thing is, the story will focus on the villain character "Maleficent" (Mistress of All Evil)" not Princess Aurora.

According to AICN, initial title will be "Maleficent" and Burton will develop from the point of view of the villain.

Another forthcoming dark movie from the great. Very exciting!

Tim Burton's "Alice In Wonderland": Mad Hatter, Red Queen and The White Queen

Checkout Tim Burton's vision of the characters of his upcoming fantasy film "Alice in Wonderland", based on the Lewis Carroll novels.
Johnny Depp in another trippy character as the Mad Hatter. He has accent that producer Zanuck can only describe as indescribable.

Helena Bonham Carter is the Red Queen which has a digitally enhanced swelled head to play the domineering crimson ruler.


Anne Hathaway is the The White Queen, who is beautiful and very eccentric.

Tim Burton, Timur Bekmambetov and Shane Acker's animated movie "9" - Trailer

Take a glimpse below the trailer of Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov produced CG film of Shane Acker's "9". It is adapted from the short film in which it is scheduled for release on September 9, 2009.

The story plot covers when 9 (Elijah Wood) first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world. All humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. Despite being the neophyte of the group, 9 convinces the others that hiding will do them no good. They must take the offensive if they are to survive, and they must discover why the machines want to destroy them in the first place. As they’ll soon come to learn, the very future of civilization may depend on them.

The voice of Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Martin Landau, Christopher Plummer and Crispin Glover will be feature in this animated film.
