Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin to host the Oscars

It seems they want to surpass the hosting success delivered by Neil Patrick Harris in the last primetime Emmys. The Oscars is getting two funny guys to host the next year's awards event.

Their tapping the services of Hollywood veterans Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin to co-host the 82nd Annual Academy Awards on March 7, 2010, at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre.

Sharing the hosting spotlight, Steve Martin said,"I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin

For Steve Martin, "I don't play the banjo but I'm thrilled to be hosting the Oscars – it's the opportunity of a lifetime."

An Oscar veteran, Martin has hosted the show twice before, in 2001 and 2003, and has appeared as a presenter several times while 30 Rock actor is a first-timer as Oscar host.

The zany and misadventures of Inspector Clouseau is back with "The Pink Panther 2". Steve Martin will again reprise the role of Inspector Clouseau to capture another slick burglar. It is set to be released on February 6, 2009.

The story is about the famous Pink Panther diamond in which it was stolen once again. French police inspector, Jacques Clouseau, assembles an international dream team of detectives to aid him in solving the case. A daring cat burglar "The Tornado" who has returned after a decade of inactivity.

Other cast includes John Cleese, Jean Reno, Emily Mortimer, Aishwarya Rai, Alfred Molina, Andy García, Yuki Matsuzaki, Jeremy Irons, Johnny Halliday, Lily Tomlin and
Molly Sims.
