Willie Revillame's “indefinite break",ABS-CBN statement; Will Willie buys out his contract?

The future of TV host Willie Revillame in ABS-CBN network is still in a limbo after a closed-door meeting with the ABS-CBN bosses.

The "Wowowee" host reportedly apologized to the management for his live TV on-air tantrums and he is taking an “indefinite break” from his show.

ABS-CBN statement:

"Willie has realized his mistake and apologized to ABS-CBN management for his outburst on air in Wowowee on May 4, 2010, and his failure to report to work since May 5, 2010. ABS-CBN management has accepted Willie's apology.

"ABS-CBN and Willie agreed that he takes an indefinite break effective immediately, but his contract obligations with ABS-CBN hold. This disallows him to perform similar work for any person or entity in direct competition with ABS-CBN.

"At some point, ABS-CBN management and Willie will discuss what will be in the best interest of the viewing public. Meanwhile, Wowowee will continue to provide entertainment and inspiration to Filipinos worldwide."

It seems there is a deeper message in this statement. Is Willie in negotiation to buy out his contract with the Kapamilya network or the network just want to calm down the situation.
Will
The whole controversy started when Revillame laid down an ultimatum to ABS-CBN to either fire entertainment journalist Jobert Sucaldito from the network or he resigns. He accused Sucaldito of hitting him “for almost one year already” in his dzMM program (ABS-CBN’s sister company).

Willie also sent a letter asking the network release him.

"Wowowee" host Willie Revillame is on the hot seat again with his on-air tantrums as he dared his mother network ABS-CBN to fire entertainment writer Jobert Sucaldito for allegedly insulting the contestants and his show.

Revillame threatened to resign if Sucaldito remains with ABS-CBN. Sucaldito is reportedly criticizing the high school students with grade average of 75-79 who joined the program.

Sucaldito denies the Revillame's allegations and his “Showbiz Mismo” co-host Wendell Alvarez came to his defense saying, "Hindi niya sinabi na bobo.

[Sucaldito is referring to Revillame's presidential bet Senator Manny Villar]

Sucaldito is a co-host of entertainment show “The Buzz” and radio dzMM’s “Showbiz Mismo.”

The next move will be with ABS-CBN. It seems Revillame can easily threatened his network live on-air showing no respect. Revillame thinks he's untouchable due his show. Both must received appropriate disciplinary actions.
