Cesar Montano is now a certified Kapuso; Working on "Romana San­ta"

Veteran actor/host Cesar Montano will now be working again in GMA grounds as he inked a deal for one-year exclusive contract in the Kapuso network. The contract signing held at GMA Network Center, July 15.

The event was witness by Atty. Felipe Gozon (Chairman, President and CEO), Mr. Jimmy Duavit (Executive Vice President and COO), and Ms. Wilma Galvante (SVP for Entertainment TV).

Cesar previously worked with GMA Films in the award-winning projects like "Jose Rizal" in 1998 and "Muro Ami" in 1999.

Her last project in ABS-CBN are "Singing Bee" and guest host gig in "Wowowee".

Cesar ran for Governor of Bohol last May 2010 national election but he failed. After the election, Cesar admits that ABS-CBN is not offering him any regular show so he decided to move on.

Reportedly, his first project in GMA is "Romana San­ta" with Aljur Abrenica and Rhian Ramos.

ABS-CBN offers Cesar Montano as guest host in "Wowowee"

ABS-CBN is reportedly tapping the services of actor Cesar Montano to do temporary the hosting duties in the noontime show "Wowowee". The show is currently being hosted temporarily by Robin Padilla (hosting the show for two weeks).

ABS-CBN recently announced that "Wowowee" host Willie Revillame is taking an "indefinite break".

No specific details yet as to when he will start. Cesar said, “Ang in-offer lang nila sa akin is just two weeks to host. That's the only thing I heard. But I think I have to hear pa ‘yung development kung kailan ako papalit or what.”

Cesar previously host the singing game show "The Singing Bee".

After hosting Singing Bee, Cesar seek the Gubernatorial seat in Bohol province in the recently concluded May 10 elections but he failed to win the votes of the Boholanos.

Actor Cesar Montano released a statement over the untimely tragic death of his son Christian Angelo. The 23 year-old son apparently committed suicide in their home in Quezon City.

I received the shocking news of my son, Christian Angelo's death very early this morning while I was in Bohol. I, along with my wife Sunshine and daughter Angela, immediately flew back to Manila first thing today to be with my son.

No words can describe the grief that my family and I are experiencing with this devastating news. He was so young, a cheerful, thoughtful and and loving son who has a generous heart and spirit.

I was just with him yesterday before leaving for Bohol. Little did I know that it would be the last time I was to see him alive.

Dr Tony Leachon, a good friend and neighbor, pronounced Angelo dead on arrival at the Malvar General Hospital in Quezon City early this morning. Initial police investigation showed that Angelo died from a single gunshot wound in the head. We are still trying to piece together some facts pertaining to his death.

While I am still reeling from this tragic incident, my family and I would like to appeal to everyone to respect the privacy of my grieving family at this time.

Thank you very much for your understanding. May God's strength be with all of us.

According to Police investigation, Christian Angelo shot himself in the head with a .45 pistol and new reports are now emerging that allegedly he has a problem with his girlfriend.

No more autopsy will be conducted, Cesar believes there was no foul play in this incident.

Cesar Montano’s son found dead; initial report suicide

It is supposed to be an exciting day for "The Great Raid" actor Cesar Montano as the Philippine local election kicks off but it became tragic after his 23 year-old son apparently committed suicide in their home in Quezon City.

Initial report that actor's son Christian Angelo shot himself in the head with a .45 pistol inside their home along Yakal Street, Tivoli Royale subdivision in Barangay Batasan Hills around 6 a.m.

A household helper found Christian in the kitchen floor and he was rushed to Malvar Hospital in Quezon City but he was declared dead upon arrival.

The police are now investigating if his death is a suicide or it was cause by foul play.

Cesar Montano and actrees/wife Sunshine Cruz are reportedly on the way to Manila . She is running for governor of Bohol province under the Liberal Party in the May 10 elections.

Christian Angelo is Montano's son with his first wife Marilyn Polinga.

Cesar Montano will run for Governor in Bohol (2010 elections)

Actor-TV host Cesar Montano will try to enter once again the crazy world of politics as he announced his interest to run as Governor of Bohol in 2010 elections.

As he prepares for his second attempt, Cesar's first attempt in 2007 for a Senate seat was a failure. Even though he got a good image and platforms, running under Gloria Arroyo's administration is a bad idea.

The Singing Bee host is required to take a leave from his television shows after he files his certificate of candidacy next month.
