Amy Adams is set to play Janis Joplin in Biopic
Actress Amy Adams has secured the role to play the 60’s singer, Janis Joplin, in the much anticipated biopic. Twilight Saga producer Wyck Godfrey will produced while Fernando Meirelles will helm the said film.
Janis, who died of a drug overdose at age 27. The official cause of death was an overdose of heroin, possibly combined with the effects of alcohol. She's recording her upcoming album "Pearl" at the time.
Rolling Stone magazine ranked Joplin number 46 on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time in 2004 and number 28 on its 2008 list of 100 Greatest Singers of All Time.
Some of her hits are "Me and Bobby McGee" and "Piece of My Heart" and TIME magazine called Joplin "probably the most powerful singer to emerge from the white rock movement."

Amy Adams and Darren Legallo welcomes baby girl Aviana Olea
Julie and Julia star Amy Adams and fiancé Darren Legallo welcomed their first child and it is a baby girl!
Weighing at 7 lbs, the couple named her new baby girl Aviana Olea Legallo.
Adams and Legallo met in 2001 and became engaged in July 2008.

She chronicles her trials and tribulations in a blog that catches on with the food crowd. The film also covers the years Child and her husband Paul (Stanley Tucci) spent in Paris during the 1940s and 1950s, when he was a foreign diplomat who was eventually investigated by Sen. Joseph McCarthy for alleged communist ties.In the first major motion picture based on a blog, Meryl Streep portrays Julia Child, and Amy Adams appears as Julie Powell. The film is scheduled for August 7, 2009 release.

Perceptions of Care Bears nature of her press, she says, “These are the kind of things I hate when I read them. I am so just like anyone else. It is interesting to be perceived as innocent. Innocent of what? I’m certainly not naïve. I misbehave. I just do it in private.”
Co-star Embeth Davidtz shared that Amy has different side, “Amy’s much naughtier than anyone I know. I can’t give you examples because they are so beyond X-rated. She’s got the wickedest sense of humor and says what nobody else would think to say.”

"Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" - movie poster

When the Museum of Natural History is closed for upgrades and renovations, the museum pieces are moved into federal storage at the famous Washington Museums. The centrepiece of the film will be bringing to life the Smithsonian Institution, which houses the world's largest museum complex with more than 136 million items in its collections, ranging from the plane Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams) flew on her non-stop solo flight across the Atlantic and Al Capone's rap sheet and mug shot to Dorothy's ruby red slippers, Fonzie's jacket from "Happy Days" and Archie Bunker's lounge chair from "All in the Family."Other cast includes Dick Van Dyke, Robin Williams, Amy Adams, Owen Wilson, Rami Malek, Hank Azaria, Bill Hader, Ricky Gervais, Christopher Guest and Steve Coogan. It is set for release on May 22, 2009.
